Five players. Five decades of LA rock between them. Anchored by founding frontman Jeff Wolfe, The Furys bridge eras — vintage in spirit, sharp in execution, and unmistakably alive.

Jeff Wolfe
Founder · Lead vocals
Jeff Wolfe came out of a family driven by music. Mom was an amateur folk singer; Dad was a jazz aficionado.
Everything took shape when the family moved to Orange County, California, in 1965. Surfers with long hair replaced crew cuts and sweaters. Wolfe soaked up the Swingin’ Sixties: The Beatles, The Beach Boys, the mighty Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Yardbirds, The Who and The Lovin’ Spoonful.
By the mid-’70s, popular music was in a bad place. Wolfe and high-school pal Gregg Embrey set out to make their own music without the restrictions of the day. Thus, The Furys.
They opened the floodgates with the self-produced single “Hey Ma” in 1977, followed in 1978 by the international sensation “Say Goodbye to the Black Sheep,” and in 1979 by “Moving Target / We Talk We Dance.”
The fans kept coming — and kept bringing new generations. Jeff has kept the flame alive, assembling an all-star band from the LA scene and the UK, and writing new songs with Dave Lewty.

Dave Lewty
Bass · Vocals
Dave Lewty grew up in Stockport, UK, and moved to the USA in the early ’90s. He played bass in The Cheaters, once voted the hardest-working band in the UK — think 326 gigs in one year — which left them just enough money to stay permanently broke.
In Los Angeles he formed Carnival of Futility, a punk burlesque-ish band with banjo, flute and accordion, among other things. Now he’s The Furys’ longest-serving member, and he and Jeff have become a prolific songwriting partnership.

Cliff Roman
Guitar · Vocals
Los Angeles native Cliff Roman plays guitar and sings with The Furys. Cliff and Jeff first met when The Furys opened for Cliff’s band, the Weirdos — one of the first LA punk bands — at the Whisky in 1978.
Cliff still leads his own band, Roman’s Weirdos. Now he calls himself a Fury too, bringing his guitar and voice as a driving force in the music.

John DiMambro
Guitar · Vocals
John DiMambro grew up in Los Angeles’ punk scene. He was a member of the ’90s punk band Down by Law, recording and touring the world during their most successful run, and recorded with Jack Grisham of T.S.O.L. on Joykiller’s “Ready Sexed Go” best-of.
He was a member of the Pearl Harbour band, has played live with Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go’s, and toured the U.S. and Canada with Agent Orange.

Paolo Dell’Olio
Drums · Vocals
Paolo Dell’Olio is a drummer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Originally from Milan, Italy, he perfected his art at The Drummer’s Collective in New York City.
A master of hardcore and punk who has also explored jazz and Afro-Cuban music, Paolo has toured extensively in North America and Europe with Threats, Stay Wild, Lords of Death, La Crisi and The New Story — and is now studying piano, songwriting and composition at Los Angeles City College.
