Wicked White

Wicked White cover art

Written in ’77 to warn us. Fifty years later, it’s not a warning anymore — it’s a diagnosis.

On Arcane Alley Records

Written in 1977 as a warning about technology pulling people apart, Wicked White never needed updating — the world just finally caught up to it.

Reimagined by Dave Lewty and Jeff Wolfe with the current lineup of The Furys, this fresh arrangement takes a 50-year-old alarm bell and rings it for an audience that never put the phone down.

“I wrote this song in 1977 as a warning,” says Jeff Wolfe. “Fifty years later, it’s not a warning anymore. It’s just what’s happening.”

The video is a tribute to the fans and the LA rock scene that stayed connected across every era. It follows a fictional photographer named Marz across four eras — The Furys’ 1978 debut at Madame Wong’s, the Sunset Strip at Gazzarri’s, a 2013 return in Chinatown, and today at the Maui Sugar Mill — still showing up to every show, decade after decade.

The CD single pairs the new track with a bonus cut fans have been asking for: the classic “Say Goodbye to the Black Sheep,” re-presented for a new era. Two songs. One band that’s never slowed down.
